1% Content Tweaks

Heya — Dil here.

Here’s some content advice I heard once that literally set me back years.

“Just focus on 1% content improvements every day, and you’ll see massive results over time”

That’s the kind of advice that sounds great until you realize… it’s (sorta) garbage.

Because here’s the truth:

If you’re tweaking the wrong things, or making tiny changes on stuff that doesn’t matter, those 1% tweaks won’t just waste your time — they’ll set you back.

And I see content creators do this all the time.

They obsess over the wrong tweaks:

  • Changing fonts for the 57th time, hoping it’ll magically increase engagement.

  • Swapping out emojis in their captions like it’s some kind of performance enhancer.

  • Spending hours fine-tuning sentence length in a blog post no one’s reading because the headline has about as much bite as a goldfish.

These tweaks won’t move the needle. Ever.

In fact, they’ll make you think the whole “compounding improvement” thing is a lie.

But here’s the truth:

1% tweaks do work — but only when they’re made on high-leverage content tasks.

What does that mean? It means focusing on the stuff that actually makes a difference:

  • Better headlines and hooks: The first few words determine whether your content gets seen — or buried.

  • More engaging structure: Attention spans are dropping. If people can’t follow your content easily, they’ll check out fast.

  • Sharper calls to action: If the content’s CTA doesn’t immediately drive action, you’re leaving conversions on the table.

  • Emotional triggers: Content that makes you feel something gets shared, clicked, and remembered.

  • Sticky intros and closes: People don’t forget how you start or finish — so make it count.

These are tweaks that actually create compounding results.

A 1% improvement on these high-leverage areas will lead to more clicks, engagement, shares, and growth over time.

Bottom line:

1% tweaks can change everything… but only if you’re tweaking the right things.

P.S. My Content Cheat Sheet Bundle is packed with quick-hit guides for making tweaks in the places that matter.

Write headlines that get clicked, generate high-engagement content ideas, and make content structure 5x more engaging.

P.P.S. Turns out quite a lot of you want the “4-Minute Blog Post” workshop — so I’m running it! Stay tuned for details.

P.P.P.S. I’m thinking of launching a new service but I need to know if anyone would be into it.

A Done-For-You Weekly Newsletter

Here’s how it would work:

  1. I’d take my emails (like the one you just read) and turn them into plug-and-play newsletter templates.

  2. Then, using AI, I’d customize those templates for your niche, your audience, and your goals.

  3. Every week, you’d get a ready-to-publish, 400-500 word newsletter (in the same writing style and format as mine unless you specify otherwise), designed to drive traffic to your products or services.

  4. I’d send it to you fully tailored and easy to copy, paste, and send to your email list.

  5. Plus, you’d also get the reusable newsletter template so you can adapt it any time.

This would have to be a paid subscription service as I won’t be able to use this much AI for free.

It’s for people who want to start a newsletter or need to email their list more but either lack the time or simply don’t enjoy it.

Until next time.
